So what do you get on the Monterey Peninsula for $450,000 and under? As of late September there are 12 condos on the market in that price range.
4 – two bedroom units, all with an additional half bath
8 – one bedroom units, most are around 500 sq ft., one is 705 sq ft.
10 are in Monterey, One in Mid Valley and one in Seaside.
There were also several in Marina but all are in escrow.
Three of the two bedrooms are at Anchor Oaks and the 4th two bedroom is on of the Hilby Townhouses. Anchor Oaks are nice condos – town house style meaning 2 story, with a nice fenced entry courtyard. They all have washer/dryer hooks ups and floor to ceiling windows in the bedrooms, living room and dining room. These are in the low $400,000 range. Only downside here is you get one car port and then its fend for yourself with on street parking. The Hilby Townhouses are about the same size and have an attached double car garage and are across the street from the popular Oldemyer Center in Seaside.
One bedroom condos under $450,000
3 – Ocean Harbor House Condos at 1 Surf and 125 Surf in Monterey. Dues are a bit higher here ranging from $695 up to $710. (Varies depending on size of condo). But here you are right at the beach! Also you have two swimming pools, spa, sauna and fitness room. While many think of this as a Vacation home, there are a number of full time residents here.
1- One bedroom in Mid Valley Nice location, well maintained complex. Bonus you can walk to the little Shopping Center area. Negative and a deal breaker/heart breaker is they do not allow any pets!
